GORILLAZ in Istanbul

Gorillaz is a British virtual band formed in 1998 in London by musician Damon Albarn (frontman of Blur) and illustrator Jamie Hewlett. The project is unique in that the Gorillaz members are represented on stage and in their music videos not by real people, but by four animated characters. Albarn himself, along with a wide range of guest artists, is responsible for the musical composition, while Hewlett is responsible for the visual universe.

Gorillaz have released nine studio albums throughout their history. Gorillaz videos are always a standalone work of art. Hewlett-style animated videos have amassed billions of views on YouTube.

Gorillaz have won a Grammy, multiple MTV Video Music Awards, a Brit Award for "Best British Group" (2018), and the Guinness Book of World Records title of "World's Most Successful Virtual Group." Gorillaz have sold over 27 million albums worldwide.

Gorillaz are currently on tour. The tour kicked off in the UK in March 2026, continues through continental Europe this summer, and culminates in Latin America. The Istanbul concert at Bonus Parkorman will be the band's first visit to Turkey. The Gorillaz show combines live sound, large-scale projections featuring animated performers, and Jamie Hewlett's signature visual aesthetic — a rare opportunity to experience the iconic musical project in its entirety.
